What is a blog?

You tell me! This is the first time ever writing a 'blog' so I have no idea if I'm doing it right.

So here goes ... a little about me;

Who am I? I am the owner and designer at Tessa's Tiaras; a little business that I started coming up to 16 years ago now. Sometimes I call it a glorified hobby as my main reason for doing it is because I love it so much. Money is a definite bonus though!

I started Tessa's Tiaras 6 months before my own wedding in 2005 and now have a studio in beautiful Dorset whilst living just a hop and a skip over the border into Somerset with my husband Sean and 13 year old son Jamie, Jessie the dog, two crazy cats and a guinea pig.

Has the Corona Virus pandemic affected me? Absolutely, I don't know of anyone it hasn't affected somehow and my heart goes out to my couples who have had so much uncertainty and stress with having to rearrange their days. I am very grateful for the time and opportunity all of the upheaval has given me. I have managed to move studios, spend valuable time with Jessie the dog whilst she settles into our family and create a new website - something I've been meaning to do for a good couple of years so I would love your feedback on it, although it is still a work in progress.

I hope then when things settle I will be able to welcome you all to my studio with a smile that can be seen and offer you a cup of tea while you browse. I think one of the hardest things for me is feeling so rude stepping back from people, and not being able to welcome them in my normal manner, it makes me feel like a grumpy security guard! In the meantime I will keep adding to my website and find useful things to share with you all.
